KARTHICK has always diversified himself in any innovative ventures resulting in novel concepts in various genres of Music.

Apart from traditional Indian classical Carnatic music he also performs with Tamil music, Folk music, Film Music, Jazz, Rock, Blues, Flamenco and Fusion.
 
Karthick has been fortunate to have performed, with many giants of Tamil Music like Dharmapuram Sri. Swaminathan, Tirutthani Sri. Swaminathan, Purasai Sri.Arunagiri, Lalgudi Sri. Swaminathan, Mazhayur Sri. Sadasivam and many others. On the folk front, Karthick has accompanied Pushpavanam Sri.Kuppusamy in his unique folk music concerts.

As an in-demand artiste in Film and Television Industry, Karthick has been part of many works of Sri. Ilayaraja, Sri. A.R.Rahman, Sri. Harris Jaya Raj, Sri.Vidyasagar, Bharathwaj & others.

In Fusion Music – Collaborated and featured with various international artists like the Global Rhythms – Miami University USA, Raj Hans orchestra - Belgium, National Symphony Orchestra - USA, ‘Sanaatanaa’- UK, Ms. Ariane Grey Hubert – France. Karthick has also performed in various festivals like Inde de Sud festival – Paris, Oriental Festival in St.Florence, Tropen Museum –Netherlands, Sacred Music Festival – Germany.

Dr.’Ghatam’ Karthick leads his own percussion based Indian ensemble ‘heArtbeat’ that features his original compositions, which has given many concerts all over India and in countries like USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Sri Lanka. The ensemble’s efforts have been commended & blessed by many legendary percussionists, senior artistes, and the present generation stars & noted critics.

Dr.’Ghatam’ Karthick features frequently in other fusion groups and in ad-jingles specializing in Verbal Percussion (Konnakol) and playing the Morsing. Worked with top classical and contemporary dancers like Dr.Padma Subramaniam, Ms.Anita Ratnam, Ms.Shobana, Smt.Rhadha ,Smt.Srekala Bharath, Mr.Astad Deboo &  Mr. Jeffery in innovative improvisations. Karthick also writes lyrics for devotional albums.

Karthick’s has also been part of many film songs and tele-serials.
